Shift schedules and resource plans in one Gantt view, published to employees and linked to time off and payroll.

Saudi outlet and branch managers rebuild the weekly roster in Excel and WhatsApp every week, rebuild it again for Ramadan, and only find leave conflicts and overtime on the day or on the payslip. Odoo Planning schedules people by employee, role, project or branch with drag and drop, templates and recurrence, publishes shifts to the employee portal, and feeds planned hours to Odoo Payroll or your HR system.
Schedules and shift names run in Arabic and English, so a Saudi branch manager and a non-Arabic kitchen team read the same roster. Working hour calendars are built around the Labor Law limits of 8 hours per day or 48 per week, with a Ramadan calendar of 6 hours per day for Muslim employees and Friday rest, so the planner is warned before a roster breaks the limit. Shifts are planned per branch so every outlet has its own roster, with hours flowing to payroll and WPS files, and Naqlah, an Odoo Gold Partner in Saudi Arabia, sets up the calendars with your HR team.
Ramadan ready
A second set of templates and a Ramadan working hour calendar are switched on for the month without rebuilding rosters. Evening and night shifts for outlets that open after iftar are planned from templates, not from scratch.
Branch rosters
Each outlet or branch manager plans their own team, and head office sees all branches in one Gantt. Staff can be lent between branches in the same city without separate spreadsheets.
Hours you can pay
Planned hours are compared with actual hours from Attendance before payroll runs, so overtime at 150% of the basic hourly wage is seen when planning, not discovered on the payslip.
1. The manager applies templates
The branch manager copies last week forward or applies shift templates per role, and the system places shifts within the working hour calendar for the period, including Ramadan hours when active.
2. Leave and unavailability are already blocked
Approved requests from Odoo Time Off and employee unavailability already block those slots, so the manager never schedules someone on leave.
3. Shifts are published and claimed
The roster is published to the employee portal and email, open shifts are claimed by available staff, and swap requests are approved by the manager in the same view.
4. Actual hours go to payroll
Attendance records from biometric devices or the Odoo kiosk are compared with the plan, and the resulting hours and overtime flow to payroll through our Jisr, ZenHR or Odoo Payroll integrations.
Timelines depend on the number of branches and the payroll system in use, and Naqlah gives you a clear roadmap in the first consultation.
| Area | Before | With Odoo via Naqlah |
|---|---|---|
| Roster | Excel sheet rebuilt weekly, shared as a WhatsApp image | Gantt per branch with templates and copy forward |
| Leave conflicts | Found on the day when someone does not show up | Blocked automatically from approved time off |
| Ramadan | Rebuilt manually every year | Ramadan calendar and templates switched on for the month |
| Employee view | Screenshot forwarded by the manager | Portal with claims and swap requests |
| Overtime | Discovered on the payslip | Seen when planning, before payroll |
| Multi-branch | Separate files per outlet | One plan, each branch manages its own team |
