Leave types, balances and approvals configured to the Saudi Labor Law, connected to payroll so unpaid days and provisions are never missed.

Leave balances in Saudi companies live in an Excel sheet per employee, requests arrive by WhatsApp, Eid dates are entered by hand every year and the balance is only argued over at end of service. Odoo Time Off manages allocations, requests and approvals on a team calendar, and Naqlah, Odoo partner in Saudi Arabia, configures each leave type to the labor law and your internal policy.
Entitlements follow the amended labor law and the leave definitions in the Qiwa contract template: 21 days of annual leave rising to 30 after five years, sick leave of 30 days at full pay then 60 at three quarters then 30 unpaid, 12 weeks of maternity leave, and the marriage, bereavement and paternity days the law sets. Requests and approvals run in Arabic and English from the mobile app, whether the company counts annual leave in working or calendar days, and the leave provision figure finance needs for the balance sheet is available per branch. Unpaid days and exit payouts post to Odoo Payroll, or export to Jisr and ZenHR as shown on the integrations page.
Leave types written to the law
Annual, sick, maternity, paternity, marriage, bereavement and Hajj leave are configured with the durations and pay rates the labor law sets. HR applies policy rather than interpreting it case by case.
Eid and Ramadan handled yearly
Public holiday calendars are updated with the Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha and National Day dates each year per branch, and Ramadan reduced hour schedules are reflected in the working calendar so balances stay correct.
Payroll and provision linked
Unpaid leave is deducted on the payslip automatically, the leave provision is accrued for finance, and the unused balance is paid out on exit at the rate the law requires.
1. Request from the app
The employee picks the leave type in Arabic or English, sees the available balance and submits with the dates and any supporting document such as a sick note.
2. Manager approves on the calendar
The line manager sees the team calendar with who else is off at that branch, approves or refuses, and HR validates where the policy requires a second step.
3. Balance and attendance updated
The balance is reduced, the days are marked in Attendances so the biometric device does not flag an absence, and the planning view shows the gap for shift coverage.
4. Payroll picks it up
Unpaid days and partial pay sick leave reach the payslip as inputs, the deduction appears on the Mudad wages file, and the provision for unused leave is updated for finance.
