Capabilities

What this module handles

Sales reps in Saudi distributors and real estate firms call customers from personal mobiles, so managers cannot see who was called, complaints are lost because the call was never logged, and the number leaves with the employee. Odoo VoIP adds a softphone widget that stays open while you work across CRM, Helpdesk and Sales, and puts calls, notes and next activities on the customer record, which is why Naqlah, an Odoo Gold Partner in Saudi Arabia, adds it once CRM or Helpdesk is live and a compatible provider is in place.

  • Click to call on any phone number in CRM, Helpdesk, Contacts and Sales
  • Softphone widget connecting over WebRTC to your SIP provider in the browser
  • Calls logged automatically on the lead, ticket or contact with duration and outcome
  • Scheduled call activities queued in one daily list per rep
  • Incoming calls opening the matching customer record with its history
  • Call notes and follow up activities created while the call is still running
  • Transfer and routing handled by the provider's dial plans and extensions
  • Same account on desktop and the Odoo mobile app for reps outside the office
Saudi ready

Built for how business runs in Saudi Arabia

Odoo VoIP works with any provider offering SIP over websocket and WebRTC, so Naqlah connects it to a cloud PBX or operator that holds a CST virtual voice service licence and serves Saudi numbers, which keeps your STC, Mobily or Zain numbers and your existing telephony contract. Internet calling has been permitted in the Kingdom since 2017, but calls that terminate on Saudi numbers must still run through a licensed provider, so we confirm the provider before configuring anything. The widget, activities and notes display in Arabic and English, call history stays on the record in your Odoo database under user access rights, and recording and retention rules are agreed with the provider to meet the Personal Data Protection Law. See the telephony and messaging integrations we support.

Keep your numbers
Connect a CST licensed cloud PBX with WebRTC SIP and keep the company numbers customers already know. No new phone system and no new contract.

Arabic and English agents
The widget, activities and notes work in both languages on the same record. Call reasons and outcomes are tagged for reporting per rep.

Call data under PDPL
Logs are tied to the contact with user level access rights. Recording announcements and retention periods are set with the provider and documented.

How it connects

What happens when a sales rep calls a lead from Odoo CRM?

1. Open and click
The rep opens the lead in Odoo CRM or picks it from the daily call queue, and clicks the phone number.

2. Widget dials
The softphone widget places the call through the SIP provider over WebRTC, showing the customer's name, company and open opportunities.

3. Notes during the call
The rep writes notes, updates the stage and schedules the next activity while the call is running.

4. Log saved
The call log with duration and outcome and the next activity are saved on the lead, visible to the manager and to the Helpdesk agent who takes the next call.

Implementation

What Naqlah configures in your implementation

  1. Confirm the provider. We check that your SIP or cloud PBX provider is CST licensed and supports websocket SIP and WebRTC, or recommend one that does.
  2. Configure the provider in Odoo. Provider settings are entered in Odoo and each user receives their own SIP credentials.
  3. Map users to extensions. Reps and agents are linked to their extensions and call groups so transfers and incoming routing work as expected.
  4. Set activity types and queues. Call activity types, daily call lists and outcome tags are built for sales and support.
  5. Enable incoming call pop up. Incoming calls open the matching contact, lead or ticket with its history.
  6. Train the agents. Teams learn to log calls and schedule follow ups, with custom reporting added through customization where needed.

Timelines depend on scope, and Naqlah gives you a clear roadmap in the first consultation.
